Workshops & Mentoring



Documentary Arts Asia teaches workshops all across Asia.

The workshops are targeted at local media makers, NGO’s and civil society groups. Our training programs have been ongoing over the past decade.


We also run mentorship, residency and intership programs for young media makers.

Mentorship programs develop out of our intership and residency programs, we support media makers with tools to progress into professional levels of media creation. Many of our mentorees and have become some of the leading voices in documentary media within their countries and regions.

All time workshop participants are over 2000, many of them have become full time, award winning photographers joining our network of mentoring and continued support programs.

We have also previously worked within the education system at Chiang Mai University, Institue of Liberal Arts & Sciences – Mai Ja Yang, Kachinland School of Arts & Sciences and Lanna International School, running for credit photography classes.
