Recently, DAA has launched the initiative to become a publishing house. The organization’s first venture is the NAMA journal of Asian Documentary Photography, an annual publication focusing on photo essays, documentary film reviews and interviews. The first issue will be in print by Feb 2013.

DAA is also in the process of publishing its first book, Portraits of Independence, which documents the lives of the Kachin Independence Organization in Kachin State, Burma.
