Documentary Arts Asia acted as the primary local partner for the 2012 Foundry Photojournalism Workshop, which ran from the 29th July to 4th August in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The Foundry Workshop was an incredible opportunity for photographers to learn from some of the greatest practitioners working in the world today. Last year’s amazing group of instructors included: Alison Morley, Ron Haviv, Walter Astrada, Andrea Bruce, David Guttenfelder, David Storey, Ashley Gilbertson, Maggie Steber and many more! We wanted to reward photographers working on quality documentary photography projects in Asia and offered the opportunity to be involved in this incredible event.
