The photographs that appear in this book have been taken during almost 20 years of travel and photography in and around Asia. This selection of images is a very personal one. The genesis of this book lies in a desire to preserve what cannot be maintained. Asia has changed, sometimes beyond recognition, over these 20 years. The vicissitudes of time can drown one’s memories, photos are there to resuscitate them.
